Sharon Curran is a lecturer at the University Centre at Blackburn College and a first year tutor on the Foundation Degree in Graphic Design. She also runs the Level 1 ICT programme at Blackburn College and teaches Graphics at Level 2 and 3 in Computing. Sharon started with TPW to help produce design work and this has the added bonus of allowing her to update her skills in an industry context. She enjoys her time back in industry and finds it very beneficial to her practice as an educator.

Sharon is able to develop her teaching materials to a high standard which is part of the ethos of her teaching on the Foundation Degree. Foundation Degrees were brought in, in 2001 to make sure that workplace practices were mirrored in education so that students left with relevant skills required in the sector.
