TPW has introduced another young person to the world of design. Kyle Butterworth of Blackburn is enjoying a taste of design outside of college through a placement at our design studio.
Here he is getting an invaluable insight into the workings of a busy design studio. If you think placement students have an easy ride, or spend their time making cups of tea, you couldn’t be more wrong! Thrown straight in at the deep end, Kyle sampled the work ethic of the studio as he tackled a live brief, involving the creation of a logo and corporate identity for a Manchester housing development.
Kyle was able to talk to the design team and watch them at work, picking up invaluable knowledge and skills for his future employment prospects. In addition to this, the placement compliments his interactive media and software college course, ensuring he leaves education both academically and practically better equipt to enter the industry. Kyle said “This is my perfect opportunity to see how a real life design agency works. I really enjoy working at TPW and graphic design is definitely the career I want to follow.”
